GIRLS LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROJECT (GLTP)
Our last GLTP for the year 2008, was held in Community Secondary School, Abuloma, Rivers State.
Fifty (50) teenage girls were empowered with information and skills for self actualization.

AYWDI rounded up 2008 with the following projects:
Government Secondary School, Elekahia Port Harcourt. October 23rd, 2008 (RHP)
Community Secondary School, Abuloma, Rivers State. November 20th - 22nd, 2008 (GLTPII)
Symposium - for participants from the different schools we have trained in 2008. Dec 19th and 20th.

PASSING IT ON PROJECT (PIO)
After each GLTP, clubs will be formed to give the girls an opportunity to exploit all they have learned
and also pass on the information to their peers then send reports to the organization. The organization
will monitor and give guidance to the girls regularly by way of visiting the clubs at least once a term and
ensuring that grey areas are cleared up especially with club members who were not participants of the
project. These clubs will be run exclusively by the girls.

SYMPOSIUM
The organization will bring together the girls to socialize intelligently by way of discussing selected topics
over a period of time. The girls will be divided into groups, each group will appoint a representative who
will speak for the group on the selected topic. Prizes will be awarded to the winers at the end of the
exercise. The symposium will held on the 19th and 20th of December, 2008.
