Yes you can!

In life there are moments when we feel below par and have brief moments of doubts. sometimes everything
seems slow and drippy, and there is a tendency to throw in the towel raise our hands high above our heads
and resort to the easy way which in my observation only failures do. Then we complain, make excuses and
blame everyone but ourselves for our failure.
True, the challenges are getting bigger by the day but so are the opportunities, the challenges are simply an
opportunity for growth and improvement. We only need to have a clear picture of where we are going and
have the courage to learn the skills required to act on our vision. It may seem tough, it sure will be, but since
it is your vision it should excite you and as you keep at it you will eventually get to your destination. Those
who focus and are consistent usually do.
I was on the field few weeks ago in the city of Port Harcourt and happened to talk to a girl whose beauty in
my judgment is outstanding, and also a class apart in intelligence and talent …but sadly she is unaware of
her qualities so she had left herself to the mercy of men and fate... According to her ‘…life’s so hard, I am a
university graduate but I can’t get a job and I have got to survive, I have got bills to pay…”When I asked
what kind of work she will love to do, she said "anything that comes", inquiring about her talents and skills
she responded that it does not count, then quickly shoved it aside and told me to forget it, because certainly,
her time will come.
Sad, very sad is it not? Listening to her reminded me of thousands of people wasting away very valuable
talents, visions that die daily, simply because people have not taken time out to understand who they are,
what we have and what we can do and so like a slave we allow people to push us around like a broken down
truck.
Every one has a purpose and until you decipher what it is, life holds no meaning. Think about it, it is not
your situation, but what you make of it that determines what you will accomplish with your life.
Helen Kella was blind from childhood but ended up as a renowned writer who won several awards, when
asked about the worst ailment in life she said ‘anyone who lacked a vision’ Ironic right?
Having a vision for your life is important but even more important is your ability to take courage and act on
it to produce the desired results. It is time we stopped thinking about what we do not have but what we can
with what we have because often the barriers we face are mental limitations and not physical impossibilities,
as a matter of fact when we realize that something can be done, you bet it will be done.
We are lucky to be alive in this time and age where we have access to information from all over the world
thus we learn about so many people achieving greatly despite all the odds, all we can do is to motivate
ourselves with their stories.
We must strive for our goals and vision consistently with the right principles and get the results. Realize
that you are designed for accomplishment, engineered for success and endowed with the seeds for
greatness. You are unique, valuable and capable of great things. You are here to give the world something
she lacks, identify it and offer it. The world is counting on you.
